Kids Lessons
Ministars Slide & Play, Ages 4-6 years
Ministars, available in a half-day or full-day session, is an innovative program that teaches your children to enjoy the sports of skiing and snowboarding in a fun and educational environment.
Our instructors are trained to give young skiers and riders confidence and instill an early love for the sport by using games, obstacle courses and other fun activities to make learning how to ski and snowboard a blast.
Ministars Slide and Play Program Details:
- A complimentary lift ticket is included in the program
- Full-day lessons are available and include lunch, two on-snow sessions, indoor play, equipment and lift ticket
- Half-day lessons are available and include equipment and lift ticket
- Ministar is available Thurs - Monday and peak periods
- The program is located in the Ministar room opposite the Pico Mountain Lodge
- Please arrive 15 minutes early for ticketing and equipment

12:30 - 3:00 p.m. weekends and peak periods
*When your child is booked in the Ministar Slide & Play program, he or she may use our equipment before or after the program, and take it with them at the end of each day or leave it with us overnight.
Kid's Group Lessons, Ages 7-18 years
Skiing or Snowboarding
Kid's Group Lessons are geared towards young skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels. Kids are placed into groups according to ability ranging from first timers to advanced levels.
Kid's Group Lessons Program Details:
• For all ability levels
• Half-day Learn To Package includes 1.5-hour lesson, rentals and limited lift ticket
• Kid's Group Lessons meet slope side next to the Race Shack at 10:15 a.m. Thursday- Monday and 1:15 p.m. weekends and peak periods.
• Please arrive 15 minutes early for ticketing and equipment

Pico Junior Program
Fun, friends and families! Skiing and snowboarding are life-long activities and the Pico Junior Program provides a tremendous opportunity for kids to spend time on snow while learning from a talented and dedicated coaching staff and hanging out with friends. In addition, parents of enrolled Junior Program participants can join in the fun by taking a lesson to sharpen their skills - or, better yet, join our parents’ program.
The Pico Junior Program offers a 10-week session that meets every Sunday beginning January 3 and is open to all Vermont children enrolled in grades K-12. A mid-week Junior Program is also offered as a five or 10-week program.
Volunteer Ski & Snowboard Coaches are needed for the 2009-2010 season. For more information on the Pico Junior Program, please call 802-422-6790.
