Last Updated: May 13, 2026

1. Purpose

This AI Policy explains how Killington /Pico Ski Resort Partners LLC uses artificial intelligence ("AI") across our website, products, services, and customer interactions. It describes the AI tools we use, the data those tools may process, whether your information is used to train AI models, and the steps we take to keep our use of AI accurate, transparent, and accountable.

This policy works alongside our killington.com/privacy-policy and killington.com/terms-of-use.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • The Killington /Pico Ski Resort Partners LLC. website at Killington.com and any subdomains we operate.

  • AI-assisted features we offer to visitors, customers, and prospects (including chatbots, recommendation tools, search, and content generation).

  • Marketing content, blog posts, social media, email communications, and other materials we publish.

  • Internal uses of AI that may indirectly affect the services or content we deliver to you.

This policy does not govern third-party websites we link to or third-party AI services you may use independently.

3. Definitions

For the purposes of this policy:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): Any system that generates, transforms, predicts, classifies, or recommends content or decisions using machine learning, large language models, or similar technologies.

  • Generative AI: AI that produces new content such as text, images, audio, video, or code (for example, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney).

  • Training: The process by which an AI vendor uses data to improve or build a model.

  • Personal Information: Any information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to an individual.

4. How We Use AI

4.1 Content Creation

We may use generative AI tools to assist with drafting, editing, researching, summarizing, or producing the following types of content:

  • Blog posts and articles

  • Marketing copy and ad creative

  • Email newsletters

  • Social media posts

  • Product descriptions

  • Internal research and analysis

All AI-assisted content is reviewed by a human editor on the Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC. team before publication. AI is a drafting and research aid; final judgment, sourcing, and approval rest with our staff.

4.2 Chatbots and Conversational AI

Our website may include an AI-powered chatbot identified clearly as such. The chatbot helps answer common questions and route inquiries. Conversations are processed by Get Ski Bots under their https://getskibots.com/privacypolicy/ . Do not share sensitive personal, financial, or health information in chatbot conversations.

4.3 Search and Recommendations

We may use AI to power on-site search, recommend related content, or personalize what you see based on your browsing activity.

4.4 Analytics and Insights

We may use AI to analyze aggregated, de-identified website traffic and engagement data to improve our content and user experience.

4.5 Customer Service

We may use AI to triage support inquiries, draft initial responses, and assist our team. A human reviews or sends every customer-facing reply that materially affects your account or services.

4.6 Internal Operations

We use AI tools to support internal work such as scheduling, transcription, code review, document summarization, and research.

6. Data and AI Training

6.1 Information We Do Not Use to Train AI Models

Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC. does not sell your personal information to AI developers, and we do not knowingly use your personal information to train large language models or other AI systems.

6.2 Information Processed by AI Vendors

When we use third-party AI tools, those tools may process information we provide to them. We take the following precautions:

  • We use enterprise or business-tier accounts where available, which generally prohibit vendors from using our inputs to train their models.

  • We avoid entering personal, confidential, or client information into consumer-grade AI tools.

  • We anonymize or redact identifying details before using AI to process anything sensitive.

6.3 Vendor Practices

Each AI vendor we use has its own data handling and training policies. Their practices are governed by their own terms and privacy notices, linked above where applicable. We encourage you to review them.

6.4 Publicly Available Information

You should assume that information you publish publicly on the internet — including content on our website that is openly accessible — may be collected and used by third-party AI developers to train their models, regardless of our preferences. We are not responsible for AI training conducted by parties unaffiliated with Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC.

7. Human Oversight and Accuracy

AI can make mistakes. AI-generated content may contain errors, outdated information, fabricated citations, or biased framing. We mitigate this through:

  • Human review of AI-assisted content before publication or delivery.

  • Editorial standards that require fact-checking, source verification, and judgment calls to be made by qualified staff.

  • Disclosure when AI plays a meaningful role in content creation (see Section 8).

  • Accountability — a real person at Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners is responsible for every piece of content and customer interaction. AI does not replace that accountability.

If you spot an error in something we have published, please contact us at info@killington.com.

8. How We Disclose AI Use

We are committed to being transparent about AI's role in our work. Where AI plays a meaningful role beyond minor assistance, we disclose it. Examples:

  • AI-generated images or video are labeled as such.

  • Chatbots are clearly identified as AI, not human agents.

  • Significant AI-assisted articles include a brief note indicating AI involvement and how it was used.

  • Automated decisions that significantly affect you (for example, eligibility or pricing) will be disclosed in the relevant context.

We do not use AI to impersonate real people, generate deceptive content, or create deepfakes.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the personal information we hold about you and how it is processed — including by AI systems. These may include:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used.

  • The right to access, correct, or delete your personal information.

  • The right to opt out of certain processing, including processing by AI.

  • The right to a human review of decisions that significantly affect you.

10. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 18 years old. We do not knowingly use AI to collect or process personal information from children.

11. Regulatory Compliance

We monitor evolving AI-related regulations, including:

  • The EU AI Act and its transparency and disclosure requirements.

  • U.S. state privacy laws (including but not limited to California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia) that govern automated decision-making and the use of personal information in AI systems.

We update our practices as the legal landscape changes.

12. Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to information processed in connection with our use of AI. No system is perfectly secure, and you should be thoughtful about what you share with any AI tool, including ours.

13. Changes to This Policy
