1. Download the Killington App.
2. Start tracking your days! Once you are active in the app, you are automatically entered.

Most Vert (Most Laps as tiebreaker)

Awarded to the person ranked #1 on the Pico Public Leaderboard for the month in most vertical feet skied/ridden or most mountain biking laps.
If the top performer has already won that category this season, the prize goes to the next eligible runner-up.

Who can enter: Anyone who has opted into "Leaderboard Visibility."
To opt in: More → Settings → Edit Privacy Settings → Toggle "Leaderboard Visibility" ON

Random App Winner
Each month, one active app user is selected at random from everyone who tracked or completed an in-app achievement that month. If that person has already won this season, another name will be drawn.

• Each resort awards one Most Vert winner (most laps as a tiebreaker) and one Random App Winner each month.
• You can win in both categories during a season, and you can win at both resorts.
• However, you cannot win the same category at the same mountain more than once in a season.
• Random winners are limited to one per resort per season, but you may still win other categories at the same or the other resort.

Winners are determined by the end of the last day of each month and notified by email 1–3 days later.

Turn on Leaderboard Visibility and Track Your Day each time you hit the mountain. The more you ride, track, and explore the app, the better your chances to win.

On the homepage of the Killington App, you’ll see a resort toggle near the top of the screen, located just beneath the current resort indicator. By default, the app opens to the Killington side.

If you want to track your day at Pico, tap the toggle to switch to Pico. Once the Pico logo appears at the top of the screen, go to the Start tab in the center bottom of the screen and press Start Tracking to begin tracking.

Starting at Killington, then going to Pico

1. Open the app and make sure Killington is selected on the homepage
2. Tap Start on the bottom navigation bar to begin tracking at Killington
3. When you are finished skiing or riding at Killington, stop tracking
4. Travel to Pico
5. On the homepage, switch the selected resort to Pico
6. Tap Start on the bottom navigation bar to begin tracking your Pico session

Your Pico stats will now track correctly as a separate session.

Starting at Pico, then going to Killington

1. Open the app and select Pico on the homepage
2. Tap Start to begin tracking at Pico
3. When you are done at Pico, stop tracking
4. Travel to Killington
5. Switch the selected resort to Killington on the homepage
6. Tap Start again to begin tracking your Killington session

Your Killington stats will now track correctly as a separate session.

Important things to remember

• Always stop tracking before switching resorts
• Make sure the correct resort is selected before tapping Start
• Each resort must be tracked as its own session

Your stats are shown one resort at a time. The resort you have selected on the homepage controls which stats you see.

Viewing Killington stats

1. Go to the homepage
2. Make sure the resort toggle is set to Killington
3. Tap Stats in the bottom navigation bar

You will now see only your Killington stats.

Viewing Pico stats

1. Go to the homepage
2. Switch the resort toggle to Pico
3. Tap Stats in the bottom navigation bar

You will now see only your Pico stats.

Important things to know

• Stats are filtered by the resort selected on the homepage
• Switching the resort toggle changes which stats are shown
• You must select the resort before opening the Stats tab

iPhone (iOS):
Open the App Store, tap your profile icon in the top right, and scroll to see pending updates. If the Killington Resort App appears, tap Update. If it does not appear, the app is already up to date. You can also search for “Killington Resort” in the App Store to check for updates.

Android:
Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then select Manage apps & device. Under updates available, find Killington Resort and tap Update. If no update is listed, you’re already on the latest version. You can also search for the app directly in the Play Store to confirm.

If the steps above don’t work, tap the More tab in the bottom right, go to Settings, and make sure your season is set to Winter.

QR code poster locations:

How to track the progress:

1. Open the Killington App
2. Go to the Stats tab
3. Tap See all achievements
4. Select Culinary Conqueror
5. View the checklist; completed locations are marked with a checkmark

You can add additional users to your existing tracking session (either solo or group) by clicking ADD PEOPLE on the map screen. There is not a way to merge existing tracking groups.

The vertical feet skied information is obtained from the altimeter within each unique phone, so differences are expected and normal, especially for users using different makes and models of phones. If the difference is significant, please contact us.

1. Open the Killington Resort app.
2. Tap the More tab in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Select Settings.
4. Tap Connect to Strava.
5. Tap the orange Connect with Strava button.

You’ll be redirected to the Strava app to authorize the connection. Once complete, you’ll automatically return to the Killington app and see a success confirmation message.

No. The Killington App’s stat tracking syncs to Strava, but Strava’s tracking does not sync back into the Killington App. To ensure your ski day stats are recorded in the Killington App, you must start your tracking using the Killington App.

Each app uses different methods for collecting stats. For example, the Killington App gets vertical feet from the phone's altimeter while some other tracking apps may get this number from GPS tracks and elevation maps.

Open the Killington app → tap the “More” tab in the bottom-right corner → click “Edit Notification Settings” → adjust your notification preferences by toggling the options on or off as desired.

Some older iPhones (especially iPhone 13 and 15) running iOS 26 or 26.1 may experience missing or incorrect stats due to Apple GPS bugs.

Fix:

• Apple appears to have resolved this in iOS 26.2.
• Please update your iPhone to the latest iOS version.

iPhones - Battery: When low on battery, iPhones default to a “Low Power Mode” until the iPhone is fully charged (this setting can persist until it’s toggled off in settings). When in “Low Power Mode” the battery icon on the device displays as yellow. To check and fix this, go to DEVICE SETTINGS > BATTERY SETTINGS > Toggle “Lower Power Mode” to off.

iPhones – Location: Go to SETTINGS > KILLINGTON APP > ensure that location permissions are set to either “Always Allow” or “While Using”. If you also have a toggle for “Precise Location”, ensure this is toggled on.

Android – Battery: Some Android devices (Samsung for example) have integrated a default “optimized" battery setting which periodically blocks background location services at a device level, regardless of the permissions setting. It is possible that this setting changes during the day, stopping tracking mid-day.

To prevent this, users can add the app to the device’s “unrestricted” or “unoptimized” list. Adding the app to this list does not affect other apps’ power mode settings.

As an example, to change the setting on Google Pixel 3 running Android 12:
Go to Settings>Apps>See All Apps
- Find the app in question in the list and tap it to open its “App Info” and tap “Battery” to get to the “Battery Usage” screen
- On the “Battery Usage” screen select “Unrestricted”
- This app is now added to the “Unrestricted” list and will not be restricted from using location services in the background when device is optimizing battery usage.

Different Android devices on different OS versions have different settings screens, so see the device manufacturer for specific instructions for that device.

Android – Location: On your phone's home screen, find the Killington App icon > Touch and hold the app icon > Tap App Info > Tap Permissions > Location and ensure “While Using” is selected.

Android (Samsung Only) - Sleeping Apps: Ensure the Killington App is set to never sleep by going to SETTINGS > BATTERY AND DEVICE CARE > BATTERY > BACKGROUND USAGE LIMITS > NEVER SLEEPING APPS > Tap the + sign > Select the Killington App > Tap ADD

Android (Samsung Only) - Screen display is blocking the bottom navigation tabs. (In your device, not the Killington app) SETTINGS > DISPLAY > NAVIGATION BAR > SWIPE GESTURES (a.k.a. Gesture based) > CONFIRM ANY PROMPTS

Unfortunately, the latest update for Samsung and some Android phones during January 2024 includes a NEW AND UNCOMMUNICATED “feature” that periodically disables all apps working in the background despite the Killington App and user settings.
What you can do to work around this is open the app switcher on your device and tap the app logo in the top center and select “keep open” or “lock the app” (naming dependent on the version of Android OS). Locking the app will prevent the OS from shutting it down until you unlock it after your session. You must lock the app every time at the begin of tracking or the device will shut the app down in the background and stop tracking.

Download the Killington App onto the new phone and open it. Click MORE, click SETTINGS, click RESTORE for Restore Tracking Stats.

When you sync to Strava, only data from future tracking sessions will appear in Strava. There is not a way to import past tracking sessions.

Open your Killington App -> go to the "more" tab in the bottom right corner -> Click "settings" -> Select "Edit User Profile" -> There you go!
