Out on the Slopes with the Family?

Family Private Lessons are designed around the needs of the child and give mom, dad or grandparents insight on how to best ski or ride with their child or grandchild. Featuring teaching techniques, what to look for, and where to go, a family that slides together, stays together!

There’re more than just groomers at Pico Mountain – that’s right, the woods are great, too! With a private glades or natural woods lesson, you’ll discover the best spots and learn to ski or ride them like a local.

Tell Us What You Want to Focus on

During checkout, you’ll be prompted to take a short survey to help our instructors fine-tune your private lesson around your goals. Be sure to fill this out with as much detail as possible about what you’d like to focus on, the more we know, the better we can personalize your experience.

At Pico Mountain, private lessons are completely customized the moment you meet your instructor. Instead of choosing from rigid lesson types, you’ll talk about what you want to work on, and together we’ll build your lesson from there.
Some of the directions your lesson can take include:

  • Keep it to just the carpet and green slopes
  • Refine your skiing, snowboarding, or telemark fundamentals
  • Explore freestyle terrain, moguls, or gates
  • Ride park & pipe with guidance from trained instructors
  • Learn to move through glades and natural woods confidently
  • Keep the family together in one inclusive experience

It’s your time on the mountain, let’s make it exactly what you want.

Details

Lessons are the best way to personalize your mountain experience. Any skier, snowboarder or telemark skier can schedule a session to fine-tune their turns.
